How does the FCMB Utility Card work?
  • The Utility Card is available as a supplementary card for our existing customers. You’ll need an FCMB account before you can request one.
  • You can use your Utility Card for payments or withdrawals at ATMs, on POS machines, or online.
  • Please note, you can’t use the Utility Card for over-the-counter withdrawals.
  • You can fund your Utility Card from your FCMB account or from another bank account.
  • If you need to transfer funds from your Utility Card, you can do so at the ATM.
What is the cost of the FCMB Utility Card?
The Utility Card is available for N1,075.

What are the daily transaction limits on the FCMB Utility Card?
  • You can withdraw up to N40,000 daily at ATMs,
  • spend up to N500,000 on POS,
  • and make online payments up to N100,000.

What happens if the FCMB Utility Card is stolen, damaged, or expired?

Can I fund my FCMB Utility Card from any account?
Yes, you can fund your Utility Card from another FCMB account or from another bank. Please note, you can only transfer funds out to your main FCMB account.

How can I check the available balance on my FCMB Utility Card?

  • on FCMBOnline,

Can the FCMB Utility Card be issued to a corporate customer?
Yes, corporate customers can also get the Verve Utility Card.

Can the FCMB Utility Card be issued to a large corporate customer with multiple signatories?
Large corporate customers with multiple signatories can also request the Verve Utility Card, as long as a few conditions are met:

  • A Board resolution agreeing that the bank should issue such cards on their account and designating a custodian for the Utility Card.
  • The written request for the Utility Card must have the concurrence of all signatories to the account and identify the custodians of the debit cards.
  • A statement/letter indemnifying the bank of any loss that may arise from the issuance of the card on their account.
  • For multiple card requests, a list of the card beneficiaries and their respective phone numbers for transaction alerts.
